Walking around Orlando making Black & White or Monochrome Photos

Walking around downtown Orlando, Florida capturing a few amazing black and white images, on a sunny day, then on a cloudy rainy afternoon.  The first Black & White is was a late afternoon on Orange Avenue where the Sun was only hitting one corner of this building. The second Black and White image was a dark and very cloudy afternoon over the downtown Orlando Lynx Bus station. The last Black and White image is actually my favorite I was on my way home on a Lynx bus, it was raining and cloudy and water drips and drops were on the window, we were stuck in traffic for a while so I made a few images.

Flying Over Downtown – Aerial Photography

Gorgeous late afternoon flying over Lake Eola Park in the heart of the city beautiful Orlando, Florida with the Mavic air #drone #ig_picoftheday #igersorlando #picoftheday #sky #skyblue #ig_Central_Florida #sunset #lake #park

Learning how to fly over Downtown Orlando, Florida for the very first time pic #2

Here are just 2 photos from my very first flight around downtown, getting a drone with a great camera is an amazing way to fly.

Aerial Photography – as per wikipida.org

Aerial photography is the taking of photographs from an aircraft or other flying object.[1] Platforms for aerial photography include fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs or “drones”), balloons, blimps and dirigibles, rockets, pigeons, kites, parachutes, stand-alone telescoping and vehicle-mounted poles. Mounted cameras may be triggered remotely or automatically; hand-held photographs may be taken by a photographer.

Aerial photography should not be confused with air-to-air photography, where one or more aircraft are used as chase planes that “chase” and photograph other aircraft in flight.

The photography family has so many branches that you can get lost in one and never experience all the others amazing things you can explore.  For a long time, I’ve heard and read that to be a great photography you must pick one type of photography, create a signature look and people will buy your work or hire you to do much more of it.

But if you haven’t explored more then just a few how do you know that this is the one for you. So that I say let’s explore more than just a few photography genres and see which we love the mores. For the new few months, I will be exploring Aerial Photography. To help me with that I’ve purchased the new DJI Mavic Air and will be sharing new photos here and on my Instagram account very soon. Which will you explore?

If I could go back and relive the last few years of my life, I would relive each moment in exactly the same way. This simple realization emerged from deep internal reflection. Some people exercise or practice yoga, others meditate; I engage in walking meditation practice – I put on headphones with a loud music and go on long walks. During my most recent walks, I have entered around emotional reflections of a breakup with the person I felt I was going to spend my life with began to surface. As most people I wondered if there were things I could of done differently, was it my fault? what did I do wrong? One day while out reflecting, a spark of inspiration was triggered and I began to capture moments of reflection through photo. I’ve read somewhere that with the technology of today anyone can take a pictures, but it’s the emotions behind them that make it into a photo. These are my photos #reflections.
